Last week a damp patch appeared on the
ceiling just under our en-suite bathroom. The patch was directly
below where the shower is and it seemed logical to believe that there must be something
wrong with the shower.
Investigating the cause was going to be complicated. With under floor heating, floor boards and to top it all the bathroom had just been redecorated; there was going to be so much work not to mention
the mess. Because of this we took the
decision to look to at solving the problem through other methods.
Over the next few days my hubby tried various ways to
pin-point the leak. Buckets of water
passed up and down stairs, tiles were lifted and towels were placed in
strategic areas around the shower base in his vein attempt to solve the mystery
of where the water was coming from, all this with very little success. The only thing that happened was that the
leak simply got worst, dripping through the ceiling and creating a hole.
So the floorboards and heating were going to have to come up.
